Residents of Port Charlotte, FL, enjoy easy access and proximity to many desirable Florida locations. Crossing the Punta Gorda-Port Charlotte Bridge leads to the town of Punta Gorda to the south. Other destinations southward include Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Sanibel Island, Naples, and to the southeast, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Key West. Destinations northward include Sarasota, Brandenton, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Tampa.
